Start at the Beginning & Set the Proper Foundation

How often have we been taught and then passed on to others, that “new believers” in Jesus Christ need to read the Gospel of John (or one of the other gospels) first?

No. In order for a “new believer” to become a proper disciple of Jesus Christ, we should be encouraging & emphasizing for them to start AT THE BEGINNING, with Genesis, then on through Ruth.

Once they read Genesis and understand the foundational fundamentals about God, His eternal existence, His creation, mankind, sin & its far-reaching consequences; and God’s merciful, loving, patient interaction with the angels & mankind FROM the beginning… and the history of Israel leading up to the beautiful story of a fulfillment of God’s Law of the Kinsman Redeemer in Ruth, THEN the gospels make proper sense!
